Supersonic speed

Breaking new ground, a historical milestone has been achieved as two planets become testing grounds for future aircraft designs. Recently, at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Southern California, a cutting-edge rotor designed for potential use in next-generation Mars helicopters underwent testing, spinning at speeds approaching the sound barrier (0.95 Mach). Simultaneously, the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter, under the auspices of the agency, notched up fresh altitude and airspeed records on the Martian surface, marking significant progress in experimental flight testing.
