The Gacha Girls Corps anime adaptation will premiere on television on January 7, 2027, following an official announcement during the StarryCube Anime Fes event in Tokyo [2]. Known in Japanese publishing as Gacha o Mawashite Nakama o Fuyasu: Saikyō no Bishōjo Gundan o Tsukuriagero, the fantasy series follows a devoted mobile gamer who uses digital lottery pulls to recruit combat companions in another world [4]. Organizers revealed the premiere date with two new cast members and fresh key visual art for waiting fans [1].

Gacha Girls Corps Anime Broadcast Schedule

The series begins its run on Tokyo MX on January 7 at 9:25 p.m. Japanese standard time (7:25 a.m. EST) before reaching additional local television networks for late-night viewers. Viewers can watch weekly broadcasts on several television stations, including Hokkaido Broadcasting Co., Ltd., RKB Mainichi Broadcasting, BS11, and AT-X. Japanese fans don’t need expensive cable packages to catch every episode as it airs [2].

Streaming distribution broadens the program’s reach beyond standard television households because Crunchyroll handles international online streaming for viewers abroad on the same date as Japanese airings. This global digital window opens on the same date as Japanese broadcasts, letting overseas anime fans follow Heihachi’s exploits right from the start [4]. The winter 2027 broadcast window also matches other recent anime announcements, including the Charisma TV debut set for January 7, which shares the same winter premiere evening. Because the show airs on both cable channel AT-X and free satellite network BS11, viewers enjoy multiple viewing paths without needing expensive paid cable packages to catch every weekly episode. Network scheduling was confirmed during the weekend festival stage in Tokyo, locking in a firm winter debut after months of quiet preparation [2].

Television listings indicate that Tokyo MX will serve as the core flagship station for the weekly debut. Broadcasters plan to keep this time slot consistent. It airs every week [2]. The station previously aired early promotional material to build audience familiarity before this full broadcast launch [3].

New Cast Members from ≒JOY

The weekend stage announcement at Waseda University introduced two new cast members from the idol group ≒JOY, confirming that Aimi Ozawa will voice Miguel, an archer fighting in her party [2]. Aimi Ozawa and Lennon performer Renon Esumi both represent idol group ≒JOY on stage [4]. Renon Esumi plays Lennon, a clerk in a clothing shop. Both idols appeared together on stage to discuss their roles [2].

These newcomers join the established voice cast led by veteran actor Daisuke Sakaguchi as protagonist Heihachi Okura, whose Japanese character name is Ōkura Heihachi. Miyu Tomita plays Norl Fanya (Nōru Fanya), the masked knight who becomes his first ally [4]. Iori Noguchi portrays Estelle in Gacha Girls Corps. Her character is an ultra rare magician who calls Heihachi her older brother [1].

Voice actor Ai Kayano joins the project as Shisuha Alvy (Shisuha Aruvi), while Rie Kugimiya lends her voice to Luna Varedas (Rūna Varado). Rie Kugimiya voices Luna Varedas, joining alongside Migle voice actor Aimi Ozawa in the expanding party roster. Both heroines accompany Heihachi as his companions explore the fantasy realm [4].

Production Crew at Zero-G and Saber Works

Studios Zero-G and Saber Works are animating the television series under chief director Masahiro Takada and director Takashi Asami, with Deko Akao supervising episodic scripts. Masahiro Takada serves as chief director for the television adaptation to steer the visual direction [4]. Animator Minewo Suzuki handles character designs and serves as chief animation director, translating the original novel illustrations for television [1].

Supporting staff includes monster designer Tomoyuki Abe and prop artist Shiori Kōno. Kenta Tsuboi directs art settings. Background artist Minami Takizawa assists him. Akiko Inoue manages color key artistry, while Kōsuke Tanaka handles compositing photography and Masaki Utsunomiya supervises offline editing with assistant Asuka Kojima to finalize each episode [2].

Sound and music teams work closely with Starry Cube. Nobuyuki Abe directs sound recording at studio On-Lead. Composers Hiroaki Tsutsumi and George King wrote the musical score, collaborating with MIRACLE BUS on background tracks. Music producer Takahiro Ikeda coordinates audio tracks [2].

Promotional artwork first appeared on June 25, 2026, when the committee launched the official website. The teaser showed Heihachi holding his phone high amid floating gems and treasure chests [3]. Producers Ryō Aizawa and Kōichirō Natsume manage the release for Starry Cube [2].

Core Gacha Girls Corps Anime Cast and Story

In the fantasy plot, Heihachi Okura (Ōkura Heihachi) spends his money on the mobile game Girls Corps before an ultra rare gacha banner pulls him through space into a perilous wilderness. A monster attacks him after his arrival. With no weapons or physical combat experience to defend himself against monsters, Heihachi pulls out his smartphone, spins the digital gacha wheel, and watches in astonishment as a living warrior materializes before him [4].

Among the main characters, Heihachi Okura summons Norl Fanya (Nōru Fanya), a helmeted knight who guides him through a tense tutorial battle. Norl feels deep gratitude to Heihachi for summoning her, yet she stays very secretive about her face. She keeps her helmet on during travel, wearing a cloth mask even when resting [4].

How does a mobile gamer survive when fantasy beasts attack without warning? Heihachi can’t rely on brute strength alone, so he keeps rolling the digital gacha on his phone to recruit more overpowered companions who can protect him from danger. Estelle (Esuteru) joins the ranks as a red-haired magician with devastating spells [4]. English publisher Kaiten Books noted that Heihachi travels on a comedic quest to collect “OP UR QTs” (Overpowered Ultra Rare Cuties), highlighting the lighthearted parody tone of his summoning journey [1].

Publishing Roots from Web to Print

The story began on January 25, 2016, when author Chinkururi started serializing the web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website, where online chapters remain active today [1]. The Gacha Girls Corps Japanese light novel series was created by author Chinkururi and illustrator Yasutaka Isegawa [4]. Japanese publisher Micro Magazine acquired the rights, publishing nine print volumes under its GC Novels imprint between November 30, 2016, and August 31, 2020, with illustrations by Yasutaka Isekawa [1].

Manga artist Syuu Haruno launched an official comic adaptation in Micro Magazine’s online magazine Comic Ride on March 30, 2018. Haruno adapted the story with expressive visual humor and dynamic action [1]. Micro Magazine compiled these chapters into fourteen tankōbon volumes, with the fourteenth volume shipping on June 29, 2026 [2]. Regular manga releases kept reader interest high before the anime announcement [4].

English publisher Kaiten Books licensed Haruno’s manga in December 2020 and released volume seven digitally in September 2024, giving international audiences easy access to the comic before animated broadcasts began [4]. Digital subscription service Azuki added the comic as a launch title in June 2021, while platform Omoi also offers digital English chapters [2]. Renon Esumi media light novel and manga adaptations paved the way for this upcoming television premiere [4].
