IO Interactive Casts Jacksepticeye in Hitman as Elusive Target

IO Interactive has released The Host, an Elusive Target contract for Hitman World of Assassination featuring content creator Seán McLoughlin as Finn Colton.

IO Interactive released a new celebrity mission for Hitman: World of Assassination on October 29, 2026, bringing Irish video creator Sean Jacksepticeye McLoughlin into the game as an elusive target [1]. The Jacksepticeye Hitman mission, titled The Host, casts McLoughlin as rogue media personality Finn Colton. Players can hunt Colton in New Zealand without paying for the base game. It’s the first time a web video star has lent his voice and likeness to the stealth series.

Jacksepticeye Hitman Mission in Hawke’s Bay

The Jacksepticeye Hitman contract sends Agent 47 to a luxury estate in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, where Colton lives behind reinforced security gates, private guards, and motion sensors. Colton made millions as a children’s television star. He later built a massive digital following under the screen name Finnvictus and set up round-the-clock streaming cameras to broadcast his entire daily routine [2].

To get past the guarded perimeter, Agent 47 secures an invitation to Colton’s Finn and Friends podcast under his familiar alias, Tobias Rieper. Pocket Gamer described the setup as one of the most uncomfortable disguises ever assigned to an Elusive Target agent [2]. The guest booking lets the assassin enter the compound without fighting security guards on the beach, but staying hidden inside the studio rooms proves difficult because cameras cover every corner. A relative of an overworked creator hired the agency after the young woman vanished following her contract signing with Colton’s firm. Evidence points straight to foul play, yet Colton used his cash to avoid police scrutiny [4].

Police investigators never searched the estate because Colton’s legal team blocked inquiries. The victim’s family had no choice but to hire the agency for private retribution. The missing creator was one of several workers who complained about abusive production schedules, and notes found at the estate show Colton eliminated her when she threatened to walk away from the team. Assassins must infiltrate the compound, find the broadcaster among his production assistants, and finish the job before live cameras broadcast the kill to the internet. If security teams spot the violence or witnesses alert the compound guards, the target retreats to a bunker and the contract ends in failure [2].

Target Profile of Finn Colton

The Jacksepticeye Hitman crossover works as an exaggerated parody of online streaming stars, mixing frantic humor with heavy paranoia about staff members. Destructoid highlighted how YouTuber Jacksepticeye parodies himself through the arrogant streamer persona. McLoughlin provided full voice work and facial scans for the character. These recordings give Colton the fast speaking style that built his online following. But Colton treats his coworkers with open cruelty [3].

McLoughlin recorded custom dialogue for the project. “I’ve been playing HITMAN with my community for years, so getting to actually step into the World of Assassination is unreal. Finn is loud, paranoid, and completely obsessed with content, and playing him was an absolute blast. I can’t wait to see all the creative ways you take him down, so make sure you’re recording it!” McLoughlin shared that perspective in an official statement released by IO Interactive, urging fans to capture their wildest gameplay strategies on video [1].

Colton’s obsession with views creates unusual gameplay opportunities that fit the darkly funny tone of the Hitman franchise. Because his production crew records everything for social feeds, assassins can manipulate equipment around the studio to stage fatal accidents that look like broadcast blunders. Tampering with studio lights, poisoning energy drinks in the green room, or overloading sound cables can separate Colton from his security crew. Players get plenty of room to experiment with quiet assassinations. Cutting off power or triggering camera alarms forces Colton to check the studio himself. Assassins can strike in that window without alerting the rest of the guard detail [4].

Celebrity Targets in World of Assassination

Celebrity contracts have become a regular feature in Hitman since IO Interactive launched its episodic reboot. Hollywood stars, musicians, and athletes have all joined the game as temporary marks for players to track. Sean Bean joined earlier celebrity missions, while GamesBeat also listed Danish actor Mars Mikkelsen among previous contract targets tracked across the franchise’s global sandbox maps [1].

The developer has added more names to its roster by working with music icons and mixed martial arts fighters. Rap star Eminem went after his own fictional persona Slim Shady in a past mission, while Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa brought their own music styles to limited-time contracts. Fighter Conor McGregor stepped into the game as a bare-knuckle champion, and action star Jean-Claude Van Damme joined with film actress Milla Jovovich. Destructoid noted that the mission expands the legacy of World of Assassination Elusive Targets [3].

McLoughlin’s casting marks a notable shift in how IO Interactive selects celebrity guests for its World of Assassination universe. While past targets came exclusively from Hollywood film sets or major recording studios, Colton is the first character based on a web video streamer. The developer selected McLoughlin because he had spent years broadcasting the stealth games to his audience of thirty million subscribers. The shared history gives the mission an authentic feel, letting fans who watched McLoughlin play Agent 47 hunt his digital alter ego inside a beachside studio. It turns years of community jokes into an official stealth contract [1].

Accessing the Jacksepticeye Hitman Event

The Host went live on October 29, 2026, and runs through November 25 across all platforms. Destructoid confirmed that the free trial period runs through Nov. 25 on digital storefronts [3]. Assassins can jump into the Jacksepticeye Hitman event without buying the base game because IO Interactive included the Hawke’s Bay location in the Free Demo package. The trial build is available to download on PC and home consoles [2].

Because Elusive Targets only give assassins one chance to take down their mark, players must plan their approach carefully before striking. If Agent 47 dies during the infiltration or Colton escapes from the studio, the contract locks out for the rest of the month. Linking an official IOI Account unlocks an in-game reward called The Hijacker Duck for your inventory. Fans who watch participating Hitman streams on Twitch can also claim a unique Royal Purple Banana item [4].

The seasonal update also brings back three classic Elusive Targets for players who missed their original appearances in earlier seasons. Assassins can return to Paris to eliminate The Pharmacist, travel to Bangkok to track down The Warlord, or explore Marrakesh to take out The Entertainer. Completing the new Like Mist challenge on the Hawke’s Bay map rewards players with The Vampire Magician Suit, giving Agent 47 an eccentric disguise for future sandbox runs. Pocket Gamer noted that the autumn roadmap also includes Halloween goodies and fresh challenges across October and November [2]. Players can also tackle a fresh batch of Featured Contracts scattered in different game locations to test their mastery of unique kill conditions [4].

The Host Pack and Season Rewards

Players who want permanent access to the mission after November 25 can purchase The Host Pack DLC. The bundle costs $7.99 in North America, €7.99 in mainland Europe, and £6.99 in the United Kingdom. It unlocks The Collab, an Arcade contract that lets players replay the elimination mission at any time without worrying about the single-attempt restriction of the live event [4].

The DLC includes The Host Assignment, a special mode offering five fresh gameplay challenges based around the New Zealand property. Buyers also receive several themed cosmetics, including The Thought Leader Suit with Gloves and The Persona Suit. For combat gear, the bundle adds the Demon Dakota 12G shotgun, a DXTR PlayFactory Controller, a Creator Soundboard, and a Kwineeny Collectible item for 47’s safehouse. These tools carry over into Freelancer mode and custom contracts [4].

The Host Pack launched on October 29 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles. Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 players must wait until November 10 for the package, because developers needed extra time to finish optimizing the handheld release for portable hardware. Regular updates keep expanding the game. Whether diving into the free Jacksepticeye Hitman trial or purchasing the permanent bundle, assassins have four weeks to track down one of YouTube’s biggest video stars across the Hawke’s Bay estate [4].
