Two Launch Dates for Zohar DLC as Switch Waits Eight Days

Arc System Works sets two September dates for Zohar, the fourth Under Night In-Birth II DLC fighter. Reports list a $4.99 price and a $9.99 Season Pass option.

Eight days separate the Zohar DLC launch on PlayStation 5 and Steam from her arrival on Nintendo Switch. Arc System Works has announced the fourth downloadable fighter for Under Night In-Birth II [Sys:Celes], with Noisy Pixel reporting September 15, 2026, for PS5 and PC and September 23 for Switch. Zohar’s arrival also brings a search for a wounded friend into the fighting game’s roster: she enters the Night looking for Strix. [1]

Zohar DLC Gets Two Dates

PlayStation 5 and Steam players get the first date on the calendar, while Nintendo Everything separately reports the September 23 Switch release in agreement with the September 10 coverage from Noisy Pixel. Switch follows eight days later. Neither full report explains the wait. The platform determines the launch date, so Zohar DLC reaches Nintendo consoles after the first group of players gains access to the new fighter. [1, 2]

PS4 needs a separate qualification. Noisy Pixel lists PlayStation 4 among the base game platforms, but its release-date sentence names only PlayStation 5 and Steam for September 15, leaving the older console schedule unconfirmed by the available full reports. Gematsu appears in the research material only through RSS metadata; its full article was unavailable and does not serve as verification here. PS4 owners still need a platform-specific confirmation. [1, 3]

Nintendo players already have Under Night In-Birth II [Sys:Celes] on Switch. Zohar expands that existing game’s character selection, while the separate Muramasa Revenant Blades release planned for 2027 sits further ahead on the gaming calendar. Here, the immediate decision concerns an additional character and the two purchase routes reported for her.

One Fighter, Two Purchase Routes

Zohar costs $4.99 individually, according to both Nintendo Everything and Noisy Pixel, which also report that the fourth fighter will be available through a Season Pass priced at $9.99. Zohar DLC has two purchase routes. Neither article lists everything in that pass. For existing players, the remaining purchase question concerns what their current edition or pass already includes, a detail the release reports do not settle. [1, 2]

The listed price gap is $5.00. Comparing those figures alone cannot establish the value of the Season Pass, because neither report supplies a full inventory of its contents or any ownership conditions attached to it. Regional prices also remain unspecified. The reported dollar amounts should not become assumed prices in euros, pounds or Turkish lira, and the articles give no exact storefront unlock time for either release day. [1, 2]

Arc System Works gives Doppelganger (a double or counterpart) a personal context through the character profile, which follows the search for Strix and the conflicting impulses that accompany it. Remorse competes with violence. The announcement brings those motives into Under Night In-Birth II [Sys:Celes] before explaining the detailed combat systems. Her reason for entering the Night begins with a battle she could not control. [1]

Zohar once led Bankikai with Ogre and Strix, according to the character profile reproduced by Noisy Pixel. During a battle with Amnesia, power spilling from the Abyss engulfed her, and she lost her sanity. She badly wounded Strix, her close friend. Zohar then struggled with what she had done until rumors reached her that Strix had survived; she changed her name and entered the Night to look for her. The profile moves from the aftermath of that injury to a search driven by contradictory thoughts, leaving open whether those thoughts belong to Zohar herself or to another version of her. [1]

Strix’s survival begins as a rumor within the story. The profile presents it as the report that sends Zohar searching, rather than a reunion she has already achieved. Her uncertainty concerns both the person she hopes to find and her own intentions. Noisy Pixel reproduces the line, “I must apologize to her…” The same passage also gives her the impulse to kill Strix, making the search more dangerous than a straightforward attempt at reconciliation. [1]

Who is directing those impulses? The profile leaves that question unresolved. It links the uncertainty to the “other” Zohar, but the supplied coverage does not explain how her Doppelganger ability translates that idea into playable moves. Her backstory establishes the conflict; the combat details still need their own evidence. [1]

From May Reveal to September

Arc System Works and French-Bread first identified Zohar as the next addition in the May 1 announcement recorded by Nintendo Everything. The publisher’s wording described “Claws encroaching unseen” and called her the fourth DLC fighter, initially pointing to summer 2026. It also said battle-style and ability details would follow later. The September update now supplies a specific Switch date, replacing that broad seasonal window with a day on the calendar. [2]

A trailer followed on June 27. Nintendo Everything records that step between the original reveal and its release-date update. Its article also places Zohar after Izumi, who arrived the previous August. Together, those updates trace the Zohar DLC announcement from a named character to a trailer and then a dated release, without providing a detailed written account of her attacks, resource management or other fighting systems. [2]

Doppelganger alone does not describe a moveset. Arc System Works initially promised battle-style and ability details at a later date, and the two available written reports do not explain whether Zohar copies opponents, controls a double or uses another system. Her competitive role remains unspecified. The character profile supplies a reason for the name, but it cannot establish combo routes, matchups or how difficult her controls will be. [1, 2]

Which Platforms Have the Game?

Under Night In-Birth II [Sys:Celes] is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam, according to Noisy Pixel. Xbox does not appear in that platform list, and the Zohar DLC announcement does not announce an Xbox edition. For searches asking whether Under Night In-Birth 2 is on Xbox, the reported release information offers no Xbox version. [1]

Arc System Works is still adding content to the game, with Zohar DLC scheduled as its fourth additional fighter in September 2026, giving a concrete answer about continued releases. Player activity is a separate question. Neither Nintendo Everything nor Noisy Pixel provides concurrent-player figures, matchmaking measurements or regional population data, so the announcement cannot establish how quickly matches form or how many people are playing. [1, 2]

Crossplay support, beginner difficulty and the character’s competitive strength also fall outside these announcements. The next useful details are concrete: a confirmed PS4 date, the exact Season Pass contents and a documented explanation of Zohar’s battle style. Until those details accompany the release, the two full reports establish the PS5, Steam and Switch schedule and the listed purchase prices. [1, 2]
